By Alex Turco/Journal & Courier-- Randy Klutzke, of Scottsdale, AZ, tosses bundles of wheat into a 1930s vintage thresher at Wheatstock VII, on July 3, 2009, in Tippecanoe County, a wheat harvest and Allis-Chalmers farm equipment show put on by his father, Marion Klutzke, who collects and restores farm machinery produced over the last century. The show draws people from across Indiana, including those who spent their lives farming on Allis-Chalmers equipment. Harold Carithers, a now retired farmer from Newcastle, said, "I grew up with Allis-Chalmers, I went to service, I came back and worked for Allis-Chalmers, and then I farmed with Allis-Chalmers."

Alex is primarily a journalistic photographer. He is a member of the National Association of Press Photographers and is a staff photographer and photoeditor for The DePauw, the independent student newspaper at DePauw University. He is also a member of the Media Fellows program at DePauw. Alex recently placed second in the College Media Advisor's DC ShootOut contest. Alex has had work printed in publications including People Weekly, the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel, the Lafayette Journal and Courier, and online science publications such as ScienceDaily and Psysorg.com.
